PABU JI RATHORE : -
The name of folk deity Pabuji is foremost among the great heroes and heroic warriors of western Rajasthan.
Pabu Rathore, a descendant of Rao Siha, the original male of the Rathore dynasty, was born in the 13th century in Koluman (presently a village in Phalodi tehsil of Jodhpur district) to Dhandhalji Rathore and Kamalade. Pabuji is considered an incarnation of Laxman.
The name of Pabuji's mare was 'Kesar Kalvi' (Kalmi). Pabuji was married to Supiyarde, the daughter of Raja Surajmal, the Sodha ruler of Amarkot (present-day Pakistan).
It is believed that during the marriage, Pabuji got up in between rounds and went to save the cows of Deval Bai Charan from being pulled by his brother-in-law Jayal Naresh Jindrao.
In this war, Pabuji attained martyrdom near Dechu village (Jodhpur).

Pabuji's recognition symbol is 'spear'. In the villages of northern and western Rajasthan, Pabuji was worshiped in the form of a horseman carrying a spear. She goes That is why Pabuji is called 'Pabu Bhalalau'.
In the rural areas of northern and western Rajasthan, Pabuji is recognized as the god of camels and the protector of plague.
Pabuji is worshiped when the camel is ill. It is believed
That Pabuji had brought the first camel to Rajasthan.
Although Pabuji is worshiped by all the people of North-Western Rajasthan, however, Rabari, Thori, Bhil and Mehar Muslims consider Pabuji as their deity. Chanda-Dema and Harmal were associates of Pabuji. In the memory of Pabuji, a fair is organized every year on Chaitra Amavasya in Kolumand (Phalodi).
Phad is recited in praise of Pabuji by Bhopas, the heroes of the Bhil caste. Rebari and Bhope sing Pabuji's pavade (verse heroic song) accompanied by musical instruments.
Pabu Prakash is an important book that throws light on the life and character of Pabuji.
It was composed by a Charan poet named Modji Ashiya.
Self. Mod ji (Swagiye mode ji) was a resident of Bhandiyawas village of Barmer district.
