Rana Hammir, Maharana Lakha, Maharana Mokal

RANA HAMMIR, MAHARANA LAKHA, MAHARANA MOKAL  : - 

RANA HAMMIR  : - 

     1321 AD of Maldev Chauhan. In 1326 AD, with the help of Virvadi Devi and her son Barujisauda (Charan), Sardar Rana Hammir Dev of Sisoda died. By capturing Chittor, he laid the foundation of the Sisodia dynasty.

     For this reason Hammir is called 'Savior of Mewar'.

     Rana Hammir thwarted the invasion of Delhi Sultan Tughlaq.

     Rana Hammir was given the title of 'Visham Ghati Panchanan' in Rasik Priya Tika and Kirtistambha Prashasti composed by Maharana Mahara Kumbha.

MAHARANA LAKHA LAKSHSINGH  : - 

     1382 AD Lakha (Lax Singh), son of Kshetra Singh, son of Hammir, sat on the throne of Chittor.

     Rao Ranmal, the elder son of Rathore ruler Rao Chuda, went to the service of Maharana Lakha, angry at not making him a successor. And Rana Lakha helped Ranmal to take control of Mandore by sending the army of Mewar. 

     Ranmal married his sister Hansabai to Maharana Lakha on the condition that Hansabai's son would become the successor. Kunwar Chuda, the son of Maharana Lakha, took a vow to Bhishma not to become a ruler and to remain a bachelor for life, to fulfill Maharana's condition.

     Such a promise was made by Ganga's son Bhishma to his father King Shantanu in the Mahabharata period.

     That's why Kunwar Chuda is called 'Bhishma of Rajasthan'.

MAHARANA MOKAL (1421 - 1433 ) : - 

     After the death of Maharana Lakha, Mokal, born from Hansa Bai's womb, was made sit on the throne of Mewar by Chuda. Mokal renovated the Tribhuvan Narayan Shiva temple built by Raja Bhoj, the Paramara ruler of Malwa. At present it is called 'Samiddheshwar Temple'.

     Chacha and Mera killed Maharana Mokal in 1433 AD. did in

     When he along with the army was camping in Jilwara against Gujarat Sultan.
