LOKDEVTA TEJA JI : -
Tejaji, the deity of the Jat community in Rajasthan, was born in Khadnal village of Nagaur district. His mother's name was Rajkunwar and father's name was Tahadji Jat. Tejaji got the cows of Lachha Gujri freed from the merries.
He gave up his life. Tejaji is worshiped in case of snake or dog bite. Farmers start sowing in the field by remembering Tejaji, this is done to wish for a good crop in the field. Although Tejaji is worshiped in most parts of the state, still he is worshiped more in Ajmer district.
Their main stations in Ajmer district are Sursura (where Tejaji had snakebite), Beawar, Sendariya and Bhawantan.

The Bhope who sits at Tejaji's place is called 'Ghodla'. 'Ghodla' cures snakebite.
The name of the mare of Lokdevta Tejaji was Leelan (Singari).
Lokdevta Tejaji was married to Pemal, daughter of Ramchandraji Jat of Paner (Ajmer) village. Tejaji's fame in Rajasthan is as 'the ultimate cow protector and savior of cows', 'the god of Kala and Bala' and the benefactor of agricultural works.
Tejaji passed away on Magh Krishna Chaturthi of Vikram Samvat 1160. In Tejaji's memory, every year on Bhadwa Sudi Dashmi, 'Tejaji ka Mela' is held at Teja Chowk in Beawar.
Teja Dashami A huge animal fair is organized by the Government of Rajasthan every year at Parbatsar (Nagaur) from Bhadrapada Shukla Dashami to Purnima.
This is the biggest animal fair of Rajasthan
Which is known as 'Veer Tejaji Animal Fair'.
